Matt and Londa Lauber and family are a minority in their urban area. Racine County has only nine farms left in their limits. That fact has not stopped the Lauber’s from forging ahead and creating a name for themselves.
The Hillpine Holsteins/ New Heights Jersey herd is a member of REAP and takes advantage of the many services offered through the program.

To create their best quality milk before shipping it to Foremost Farms, the farm focuses on the quality that comes from the sires. They emphasize the fat and protein percentage, JUI, and positive health traits of the cow. A few influential lines include River Valley Circus Craze-ET and Goldust Karbala Ladd-ET.
New Heights Joel Kringle-ET is another cow worth mentioning. Matt got her from his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leah and Jason James. She was small and not the fanciest but has developed into the opposite. She has had success in the show ring and has a score of Excellent-94%. She was also a high producer with several production recorders exceeding 20,000 lbs. She now has daughters with JX PVF WC Zinc (5)-ET, River Valley MacMelody-ET, and has been flushed with “Craze”.
The farm’s goal for the near future is breeding. They want to continue to breed and develop balanced cows.
