Duchess Dairy Products Signs with Pulaski Yankees
The Pulaski Yankees announced this month through social media that team mascot, Calf-E, has signed a contract with Duchess Dairy Products of Rural Retreat, Va.
In the facebook post the Yankees asked “Who says endorsement deals are only for athletes? Calf-E has signed an exclusive deal pairing the New River Valley’s favorite mascot with its favorite local milk!”
Duchess Dairy Products was established in 2010 to bottle All-Jersey milk produced at Huffard Dairy Farms and Sugar Grove Jerseys. Today the business is owned by the Huffard, Blankenship and Fleshman families and operated by them along with plant manager Jordan Hall and several other trusted employees.
“We are excited to be a small part of the Pulaski Yankees program,” said James Huffard. “The program is a great venue for family oriented fun for kids of all ages, and it is nearly in our back yard.”
With the new Duchess Dairy patch on Calf-E’s right shirt sleeve, it will give year-round exposure to the All-Jersey milk produced by Duchess. During the Yankee’s season at each home game Calf-E invites the youth in attendance to meet him and have their pictures taken with the team mascot. Throughout the year he does many public appearances and the Duchess name will be on his shirt sleeve at all times to remind the locals of his favorite milk.
Duchess Dairy Products carries the Queen of Quality label promoting National All-Jersey Inc., and milk that is higher in protein, calcium and other minerals. The milk from Duchess has been analyzed and is high in A2A2 milk protein as well. The plant produces whole, reduced fat, chocolate and Dreamsicle Delight milk and can be found in many stores within the southwest Virginia region and neighboring states.
