Schedule Released for AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings

Portland, Oregon, will be the place to be June 24-27 for the AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings.

The Oregon Jersey Breeders have finalized their schedule and pricing for the event and it is now available online. Breeders can attend the four-day event for a $200 registration fee for adults and $100 for youth under 16 if you register before May 22.

During the meetings, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and learn more about the famous Tillamook dairy community, value-added businesses and tour the Portland area and other Oregon agriculture venues. A visit to the Tillamook Creamery and farm visits to Wilsonview Dairy and Cal-Mart are on the tour schedule. A stop at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds will provide everyone a chance to see cows from the area herds in one location. This year’s National Heifer Sale will be held at Forest Glen Jerseys and a visit to Queen of Quality producer, Lady Lane Jerseys is a stop on Saturday, June 27.

Known for its rich culture, Portland has something to fancy anyone’s interest. Streets full of food trucks, craft breweries, historic buildings, beautiful scenery and more are all available to you as you can discover the city on your own Friday afternoon. As well, the youth will have a chance to participate in several events geared specifically for them – a mock auction, pizza and pool party and visit the ocean during the Thursday optional tours.

Plans are currently in the work for Jersey-specific seminars, an artisan cheese tasting and social, as well as much time to meet and visit with Jersey breeders from across the country. We hope to see you there. You can fill out the registration form provided here, or after April 1 register online.
