Philip Cleary Named IT Manager for USJersey
Philip Cleary has been promoted to Manager of the Information Technology (IT) Department of the American Jersey Cattle Association and National All-Jersey Inc., effective March 14, 2022. He assumed the role from interim IT Manager Larry Wolfe, who has managed the department in addition to his other responsibilities.
Cleary, hired in April of 2019 as an Application Developer, has broad knowledge and experience in computer information systems, including servers, desktop computers and mobile devices, maintaining web and mobile applications, programming, and operations efficiency.
“Philip has worked very hard the past three years to learn about the dairy industry and services provided by the Jersey organizations,” said Executive Secretary & CEO Neal Smith. “He has demonstrated a strong work ethic and the technical skills required to get the job done. Additionally, he has earned the respect of his co-workers on the IT team as well as the entire Jersey staff. He will provide strategic direction, leadership and stability for the department as demand increases for our programs and services.”
Since joining the AJCA-NAJ staff, Cleary has updated and developed programs used in daily operations by customers and employees. He was instrumental in the development of the improved JerseyTags website and has applied needed upgrades to USJersey programs such as JerseyMate, BullsEye, and the Green Book website.
Previously, Cleary was a programmer and full stack developer for LightGov LLC in Boardman, Ohio. He also has experience in technical support at LBrands of Columbus, Ohio, and as a technology assistant in the Teays Valley Local School District.
