French Buttercream Cookies
Another family favorite – French Buttercream Cookies! These will melt in your mouth and everyone will be reaching for them when you walk into the door. Time how long until they are gone, we bet it won’t be long!

French Buttercream Cookies
From the kitchen of Lori King, AJCA Assistant Manager of Herd Services
Ingredients
- 1½ cups Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Cream of tartar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2¼ cups Flour
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients well, chill dough for 15-30 minutes before rolling into small balls.
- Place rolled dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper and flatten with a fork. Sprinkle with colored sugars.
- Bake at 350° for 5-8 minutes until set but not brown.
- Let cookies stand on baking sheet for a minute before moving to wire racks to cool.
