The first half of 2020 has definitely been one to remember. While the United States was sheltering at home in April and May, the Jersey Journal was working with Freynie and Ryan Lancaster, of Royalty Ridge Dairy to kick off a new series of virtual farm tours sponsored by Jersey Journal. While travel is less these days, we are sure many people are missing their Jersey friends and family. We hope this series will allow you to connect and stay in touch with your friends across the nation.

The Royalty Ridge herd is owned and managed by Ryan and Freynie and their children, Logan, Tatum, Harper, and Bode. Located in Tillamook, the milk from the herd is shipped to Tillamook Creamery. The girls at Royalty Ridge are well-known throughout the Jersey world as one of the highest appraised herds in the United States. The Lancaster family has bred numerous All American and Reserve All American cows, as well as National Jersey Jug Futurity winners and even a National Grand Champion. The 61 cows averaged 90.3% after the March 2020 type appraisal, with 40 of the cows being scored Excellent. Eight cows are Excellent-95% and another seven are Excellent-94%.

We invite you to take a tour of the farm with Freynie and Ryan as they show you their herd favorites and walk you through their facilities.
