Taffy Apple Bars
These taffy apple bars bring so much goodness together. The combination of apples, caramel and the two types of cookie dough is just delicious.

Taffy Apple Bars

Ingredients
- 1 package Refrigerated sugar cookie dough 18 ounces
- 1 package Refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough 18 ounces
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- 2 Large apples cored, peeled and chopped (3½ to 4 cups)
- 1 cup Chopped peanuts
- ½ cup Caramel ice cream topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 13x9 inch baking pan. Let packages of dough stand at room temperature 15 minutes.
- Beat doughs and flour in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until well blended. Press dough evenly into bottom of prepared pan. Spoon apples evenly over dough; press down lightly. Sprinkle with peanuts.
- Bake 35 minutes or until edges are browned and center is firm to the touch. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Drizzle with caramel topping. Cut into bars.
Notes
- Makes about 2 dozen bars.
