Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

Cake Mixture

  • ½ lb Butter
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ cup Sour cream

Icing

  • 1 stick Butter
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa
  • 6 tbsp Milk
  • 1 box Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Nuts

Instructions

Cake

  • Bring butter, water, and cocoa to a boil.
  • Put flour, sugar, and salt into a bowl.
  • Pour the two mixtures together, but DO NOT cool. In a small bowl, beat 2 eggs. Blend the baking soda and sour cream. Add to other mixture.
  • Pour onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes.

Icing

  • While the cake is baking, bring the butter, cocoa, and milk to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts.
  • Ice immediately.

Notes

For best results, ALWAYS use real butter!
Eat in moderation if you can!
